Hail City Expansion Project Hail, Saudi Arabia
Sr. Project/ Construction Manager/ Client Rep, in-charge of all the preconstruction activities and field operation of a master planned city for some 17.5 Kilometer square (1750 hectare) serving a population of about 120,000 inhabitants with an overall land development period not exceeding 15 years at construction budget not exceeding of SR 1.6 billion. The preconstruction included engaging international master planner and engineering consultants to carryout design-to-within-a-budget as well conducting value engineering workshops alongside design reviews and constructability studies to form and organize asset classes as part of master plan encompassing residential, office, retail and shopping, governmental facilities and healthcare. During construction, completed over two (2) phases around four (4) Kilometers square (400 hectare) of infrastructure work (streetlighting, sewage, water, roads, power, telephone and landscaping, etc.…) through appointing and managing one (1) general contractor and four (4) multiple trade contactors including administrating entire quality control (Q/C) and assurance (Q/A) programs and safety. It includes introducing latest procedures and systems for instituting an effective project control mechanism relative payment, changes and claims as well expediting RFIs and shop drawing approval including engagement of multiple contractors and scheduling their on-site activities besides direct-labor hire.
Palm Jumeriah Desalination plant Dubai, United Arab Emirates Project Manager in charge of the design and construction of all marine and infrastructure works together with all related facilities driven largely by two desalination plants with an overall daily capacity of 64,000 cubic meters. The plant is introduced on Palm crescent to supply the entire intake demand required by Atlantis hotel and all major resorts and other facilities. The complexity encountered was in the management of engineering, coordination and installation of an underwater in-take discharge 800 meter-long pipe lines ranging between 450 mm to 500 mm in diameter on sea bed as well 10 to 15 meters under sea level. The design-build project mission was completed on such manmade island with a first-rate record of safety compliance and quality precession and was handed over to project Client, Nakheel Properties, and its project Consultant, Palm Water. Shahama City Master Plan Development Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Project Manager responsible for the construction on over 1950 hectare of multi-use residential development including utilities, roads and street lighting services of a major division in Shahama city. Duties included management, coordination, supervision and construction of about 15 Km road along with the utilities installed within its vicinity encompassing sewer, water, irrigation, storm water, communication and power storm water, sea outfall structure, and sewer house connection and irrigation network. Advanced technique was introduced for the road construction by utilizing micro- tunneling and directional drilling under existing roads. The construction of phase one of the project was completed 25 days ahead of its 18 months schedule while implemented ISO management standards and handed over to project Client, Public Gardens Directorate, and its project Consultant, PARSONS. Pearl Qatar Marinas Doha, Qatar
Project Manager responsible for the engaging and supervising of design as well construction services for some 150 hectares of infrastructure and marine works on three major marinas; namely, Porto Arabia, Costa Malaz and Viva Bahriya. Services provided include design review, value engineering, tender pricing, contract and disputes adjudication, QA/QC administration, coordination of multiple trade contractors and safety enforcement. Project scope held a capacity over 1000 berths serving vessels ranging in size from 10m to 120m and contained complete MEP facilities including intricate utilities networks encompassing water, gas, power, fuel berth and break water pontoons. This design-build project was completed on schedule and within budget and handed over to project Client, United Development Company, and its project Consultant, Dar Al Handasah. Education

Services provided includes coordination with project Client and Consultant, QA/QC and safety administration, overall management of the construction, preparing and adherence to construction schedule and specification. The construction was completed in compliance with Municipal health and safety regulation and handed over to project Client, Abu Dhabi Municipality and its project Consultant, KEO International. Ajban City Master Plan Housing Development Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Construction Manager engaged for the 525 hectares of housing and commercial development in Ajban City. Duties include management and supervision of construction and coordination among multiple trade contractors including preparing construction schedule, monthly payments, coordination site construction meetings, reviewing and streamlining all communications between Client and Consultant. Responded to contractor’s claim arising from lack of soil survey and site information that led to an additional entitlement to original contract value. Developed, implemented and settled all outstanding contractual disputes and entitlements with subcontractors and suppliers and handed over to Project Client, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Committee, and its project Consultant, PARSONS.
GIS Asset Facility Management Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Resident Engineer positioned in-charge of the development of a GIS asset facility information and document management controlling all infrastructure and civil projects. The GIS database contained plot by plot information including utilities such as sewer, storm water and irrigation as well all above and underground infrastructure services as a functional tool allowing future information such as-builts to be incorporated in project progress. As a team leader, the engagement entailed supervising the review of technical details of over 40 civil projects utilizing Intergraph product including holding interviews with department heads to ensure quality and accuracy of technical data input in the system. This included technical data collection, as-built drawings documents and data conversion. Supervised installation and inspected system using Oracle database in accordance with quality assurance procedures and ultimately handed over the project assignment to project Client, Abu Dhabi Sewerage Committee and its project Consultant Hyder Consultants. Sewerage Network Rehabilitation Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Resident Engineer after serving as a member of the supervisory staff of sewer rehabilitation project for a 58 Km long sewer network line, ranging in size between 400 to 1200 mm utilizing Ribloc lining system. Supervised the rehabilitation of sewer lines on site, ensured the usage of materials and procedures according to specifications. Reviewed and prepared construction schedule utilizing Primavera system. Supervised the preparation and planning of sewer over pumping networks. Member of Computer Development Committee, an advisory group recommended IT solutions for sewer projects and handed over to project Client, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and its project Consultant, PARSONS.
City Housing and Commercial Development Reading, California and Houston, Texas in USA Project leader in-charge of the planning and engineering team mandated for preparing housing master plans and urban designs for around 105 hectares. This included pricing, bidding, procurement, subcontracting, design and management of several housing subdivisions in Reading of California. Utilized engineering design and computer-aided design and drafting CADD programs in designing, platting and permitting of subdivisions within a multi-use development in Reading of California. Head of design-build team for housing development at Kings Colony encompassing landscape entertainment parks, public gardens including working with state permitting agencies for issuance of design drawings and securing approvals by housing committee. Skidmore Owings & Merrill San Francisco, California in USA Worked in the design for three major building projects encompassing: Pacific Bell: Engaged as a design engineer and construction supervisor of a mixed-use project containing of a low rise headquarter building containing office space of some 150,000 square meters of building area. 345 California Street: Engaged as a design engineer of a mixed-use project containing of a 52-story tower and consisting of hotel, office space and commercial retail for some 110,000 square meters of building area. 333 Bush Avenue: Engaged as a design engineer of a 48-story mixed-use project containing office space and residential condominiums for some 95,000 square meter of building area. Included in all the above three assignments, steel design and production of detailed shop drawings for construction using Computer Aided Design and other visualization software applications.
