EMPLOYMENT

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Youngstown, PA, September 2014 – Present

Data Analyst / Lab Technician

Working in the Damage Tolerance Department conducting tests on material samples submitted by various industries including aerospace, automotive and nuclear.

Involved in fracture testing of C(t) and M(t) samples using either EPD or compliance testing methods.

In 2017, trained to analyze data of completed tests to assist the full-time data analysts.

As a Data Analyst, analyze data and results by using in-house analysis programs to create graphs and generate reports on Microsoft Excel to be sent to the customer.

As a Lab Technician, install material samples in testing frames to test the fracture or fatigue of the samples in room, hot or cold temperature environments.

Input data of the material samples and the test parameters prior to the start of a test.

Measure cracks created in the material samples during the tests by examining them through a microscope.

Record data from the tests and transfer data generated from the testing frames to the company's database.

Prepare material samples for testing by welding wires onto the sample to measure current and voltage that are used to measure the cracks and stresses created during testing.

Director of Pre-Development – Research and Quality Control (August 1999 – July 2013)

Promoted to Director of Pre-Development from Researcher in 1999 to expand the department in response to company growth.

Successfully supervised and managed an entire department and a team of up to 10 research employees while continuing to carry out research work.

Evaluated researchers’ work for quality control, thoroughness and completeness to guarantee over 99% client satisfaction and to ensure the department’s standards were achieved.

Maintained records on the workload received into the department – in the order of 650 to 1000 research projects monthly.
