To Whom It May Concern,
Please find the attached resume for the position of Family Nurse Practitioner. I learned of this position through, I anticipate availability to start work .
As a Registered Nurse (RN) since September 2012, I have worked in a variety of hospital settings including Med/Tele, Step-Down, ICU, and most recently the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center. While working in this education-based Emergency Department with resident physicians, I decided to begin working on my higher education and enrolled in school for my Masters Degree, as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse who has worked from the patient care technician role in the hospital and long-term care setting, to the charge nurse, and Registered Nurse roles I have grown to focus on the needs of the patients I care for, advocating for them, and communicating needs to the provider as needed. I plan to expand my role as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the rural setting to assist in caring for patients in the acute and primary care setting as required. My career has revolved around continuing education with certifications in BLS, ACLS, ATCN/ATLS, AWEP, NIH Stroke Scale, and etc. I continue to obtain, recertify, and grow my knowledge base with continuing education opportunities yearly so as to remain up to date on best evidence-based practices. As a nurse who has worked all aspects of the nursing field, I believe I am a positive addition to any nursing team, as I am willing to provide care at any role of the care spectrum. I am a team player and a leader when it comes to caring for others. Currently, I am employed through Truman Medical Center’s Emergency Department, Kansas City, MO, however my permanent address remains in Columbus, KS.
Thank you for your consideration of employment, I am truly grateful for the time you have allowed me. I am interested in interviewing for the Nurse Practitioner position in Meade, KS, as I believe rural medicine is at the heart of my desire to care for patients. You may contact me at 620-***-**** or by e-mail at **********@*******.***. I will be following up with this inquiry for hire at the beginning/end of, if not discussed before this time.
Respectfully,
James D. Green, APRN, FNP
