20+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer for aerospace. 20 years as Sr. Quality Engineer.
Management of supply chain, directing audits, QMS oversight, process improvement and C/A
Experience in precision machining, aircraft structural assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and composites.
Experience in electronic and electrical assemblies, including wire harnesses and avionics units II. SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
Work closely with supply chain to communicate and achieve quality improvement goals.
Direct process improvement projects using six sigma tool set.
Perform a variety of audits, including process, QMS, and conformity audits.
Function as a facilitator, mentor and support contact for assigned suppliers
Corrective action coordinator using 5 whys and 8D methodologies.
Perform First Article validations IAW AS9102
III. PRODUCT SUPPORT
Provide technical assistance and support to suppliers as required.
Analyze drawings and subordinate specifications to determine product compliance
Perform conformity audits of product when required.
Conduct tear-down or failure analysis to identify failure mode and/or root cause IV. PROGRAM PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Conduct or participate in supplier evaluations, production readiness reviews including capability and capacity
Provide training to suppliers and assist in process development
Coordinate with project teams across multiple locations to provide active interface with the suppliers
Build and Manage Project Schedules through Completion, Hosting Team Progress Meetings as Required.
