ABOUT ME
I am currently in my final year of study at Stellenbosch University; studying Mechatronic Engineering. I changed from Mechanical to Mechatronic Engineering early in my third year because of my new-found love for computer programming and control systems. I am a well organised, committed and hard-working individual. I communicate well; both written and orally. I love my family and friends and am a whole-hearted Christian with a deep respect for all peoples and cultures. I become fully involved and passionate with everything that I become a part of; be it a company, a sports team, or a community. I believe in the cliché that teamwork makes the dream work and have learnt to thrive in a team setting from my participation over the years in sports teams and academic group projects. I am also a respectable team leader that leads by serving the team as well as empowering each team member.

Vacation Work Bell Equipment (Richards Bay, KZN) DECEMBER 2017 – JANUARY 2018
During my four weeks at Bell Equipment I was assigned a project to design a part for one of their trucks. This required me to first learn to use Creo Parametric since until then I only had experience in Autodesk Inventor. I found this project extremely exciting and it confirmed to me that my passion is with engineering. I also enjoyed my first time working as part of an engineering team in industry.

Vacation Work Bell Equipment (Richards Bay, KZN) DECEMBER 2019 – JANUARY 2020 AND APRIL 2020
I once again worked at Bell for a five-week period. I was given an experimental project to do to investigate the effect of the welding process on materials. During this project I learnt how to use Creo Simulate and how to perform finite element analysis (FEA). The project allowed me to learn new design skills as well as expand my knowledge of the welding process. SKILLS
