• Regression Analysis/ Statistics: Being a team leader and as part of team, analyzed the crime rate of Alabama counties using SAS with the help of 4 socio-economic factors namely, number of people who has education less than high school, # people below poverty line, population and # people unemployed. Build a linear model using SAS that could predict the crime rate with 95% confidence level and did hypothesis testing. Prediction intervals were also found out.

• Design of Experiments (DOE): Led a team of 3 to do a live project to improve UTA market sales. Two factors were taken namely, location of shelves (2 levels) and type of items sold (3 levels). The data was analyzed which helped in the improvement of sales by 16% as the location of shelves helped to increase the sales. With the help of SAS, ANOVA was generated and pairwise comparisons were conducted along with pre-selected differences & contrasts.

• Linear Programming: Solved a linear program using different software’s like MS Excel, MATLAB and IBM CPLEX, which are helpful in decision making.

• Lean Manufacturing: Implemented techniques like 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, KPIs, PDCA, TPM, Kanban, and JIT at small scale.

• Six-Sigma Project: A detailed study was made on the battery explosion of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with the help of DMAIC to improve quality and to do root cause analysis. R-programming was used to generate ANOVA, Run chart, X-bar & R-charts.

• Time study: Performed a direct time study at Starbucks using snapback method to calculate standard time

(=1.984 min), normal time (=0.72 min) and number of cycles needed for the experiment (=22). Reduced std. time by 20% by introducing new queue.

• Work sampling: Data was collected for 20 days where 10 daily activities are studied and improvements were made to achieve goals faster and quicker. Decreased proportion of non-value-added activities there by improving the process.

• SAP ERP: Setting up of chart of accounts, controlling area, credit control area and relationship among organizational units. Implemented interactive reports, made transactions for modules like FI, PP, MM, and CO. ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Awarded Kelcy Warren Graduate Fellowship (Merit based scholarship) for good academic standing.

• Volunteered in Job Fairs at UTA & also member of IISE, SAAYAM Organization (core member).
