I&C ENGINEER -PETROEN ENGINEERING- Dubai, UAE August 17 – Present Multinational EPC company having some mega projects across Mena Region and long-term Plant O&M contract with Clients. I am assigned as I&C Engineer for these assignments in Egypt, Oman and UAE with multiple Oil and gas plants of renowned clients namely Schlumberger and Enerflex.

● Develop instrumentation and control systems construction scope of work documents and execute projects according to the scope, schedule(time) and budget.

● Interdisciplinary Review of deliverables from other departments-P&ID, Plot plan, Piping GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical single line diagrams, HVAC duct layouts, Hazardous area classification drawings, F&G Layout drawings, F&G C&E Diagram.

● Review and modify construction work packs, on site modifications to contractor's scope of work, Resolve relevant queries.

● Support P&ID development; help maintain the P&ID’s, instrument index and I/O list through the course of each project phase with field engineering. To make sure inter relation with Isometric drawings and civil layout.

● Work closely with I&C Engg. team to ensure inputs and requirements are exchanged in an appropriate and timely manner, thereby benefitting overall project engineering and site execution.

● Ensure permit to work adherence in responsible system area. Prepare permits and liaise with permit group when required.

● Vendor management for instruments, Instrument packages (Metering skid), equipment (tanks, pumps) and equipment packages

(Compressors, Chemical injection skids, HVAC), in relation with mechanical package. Their scheduling and technical coordination for site.

● Provide technical direction for selection of items to be specified or purchased, ensure compliance with client requirements and standards, check specifications and requisition packages for sensors, transmitters, analyzers, Control Valves, On-Off Valve and F&G etc.

● Instrumentation focal person for clients, handling activities planning; to plan and carry out the work in accordance with the program/schedule, execution plans, commissioning procedures, method statements and work packs for the instrumentation scope of work.

● Review the SubContractors Plan for the site management and monitor his staffing plan for efficient use of the supervisory personnel, labor, materials, and equipment on the plant site.

● Generation, monitoring and controlling daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, efficiency reports and backup plans.

● Ensure installation compliance with engineering drawings, standards and specifications, Manage Red-line and As-Built drawings

● Monitor and oversee down team and subcontractors onsite for all instrumentation construction activities mainly cable laying in trenches/trays, termination, instruments/junction boxes/control system installation, hookup, tubing, instruments and valve setup/calibration, testing/stroke testing, mechanical and civil coordination, field engineering, QC works and relevant documentation/records.

● Perform Site Acceptance Test (FAT) of the Process Control System and vendor packages control systems.

● Carry out Instrumentation Checks, Verifications and Functionality from the device to the DCS and PLC. Loop checks and loop folders prep.

● Plant control Logics testing and verification, ESD/SIS loops and F&G loops using logic narratives and C&ED. Logics modification where required, HMI development in conjunction with control system team.

● System function testing, troubleshooting/rectification, and punch list clearance to ensure the instrumentation is ready for commissioning and start-up within the time constraints of the commissioning programme. Working as VSM of SIGMA THERMAL for its heaters in Gulf Region. Sigma thermal HC2 hot oil heaters for start-up and service/trouble shooting. PLC logics and loop configurations. Temperature controller, limit controller, Fire eye BMS, PID loop tuning and configuration. Burner tuning and linkages adjustment. Communication establishment and checks with Master PLC (client).
