Establish company wide strategy for Autonomous Driving/ADAS with a clear delivery path for Future Mobility concepts ranging from L1-L4 SAE standards. In parallel deliver ongoing ADAS projects, Karma Revero GT and GTS, to meet program timing and budget. Recruit, build and manage a team of highly skilled engineers in USA (35) and CN (~100)

Develop solution for last mile delivery challenge by developing L4 capable vans for delivery

Lead the team to work cross functional to decompose feature requirements into System, Sub-System and Component level

Successfully launched ADAS L0-L2 features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering and Lane Keep Assist on the Karma Revero GT/GTS program for MY 2020 and have resolved customer's feedback from the field.

Benchmarked performance against Tesla Autopilot and delivered better performance metrics for a few features.

AUG 2017- OCT 2019: DIRECTOR AUTONOMOUS DRIVING/ADAS – BYTON USA & CHINA

Responsible for a department of ~70 staff for delivering Advance Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Driving including Cruise Features, Active Safety, Low Speed Manoeuvring Features & Vision Systems. In addition, support Connectivity features such as Software Over the Air & Cyber Security

Manage AD department and meet budget requirements - $40M budget

Direct responsibility to specify, develop, integrate, validate & sign off Software and Hardware: Camera’s, Radars, Domain Controller, Ultrasonics, IMU, Maps: V-Cycle Model

Develop end to end: system level architecture to support redundancy- ISO26262

Design, develop and shape the future of ADAS Vision Systems by helping the team find visionary developments in electronic systems integration. As a Group Leader, I am at the forefront of leading and managing a large team of highly skilled engineers in the introduction of exciting ADAS features for Jaguar Land Rover customers.

I currently manage a team of 28 people:

Manage a budget of £10M year on year spend for key technology advancements

First introduction of Near Field Sensing – £450M business case for Supply base with

£12M D&D spend

First introduction of Smart/Intelligent Rear Mirror – £175M business case for Supply base with £2M D&D spend

First introduction of WiFi Camera to support USP’s such as See Through Trailer

Cement Supplier sourcing strategy for next 5 years

Define sourcing strategy for suppliers such as ROBERT BOSCH, CONTINENTAL, VALEO, GENTEX, AUTOLIV and MAGNA

Deliver cost savings as part of Total Value for Money work stream

Delivered TVM savings of £260K GBP cross car line

Define and maintain time plans and work packages to support program deliverables and software integration activities

Manage conflict and issue resolution within the Centre of Competence and across functions

Recruitment – one of the key challenges is shrinking resource pool, especially ADAS, but successfully managed to recruit 11 heads this fiscal year, a further 8 heads planned for next fiscal

Strategy planning and execution – successfully developed and launched 2018 model year projects with benchmark planning and tracking execution with structured meeting cadence

Quality – drive the team to meet quality targets by driving a mindset towards zero defects. Pioneered weekly Quality down day to exceed targets. JAN 2014 – APR 2016: OPERATIONS MANAGER JAGUAR XE, F-PACE & RANGE ROVER VELAR - JAGUAR LAND ROVER, SOLIHULL, UK Hands on experience of delivering a major new model program into Production. Manage the integration of complex systems into three different vehicle lines on a common platform. In addition, clearly communicate to Board members on the project’s progress, costs, risks and emergency containment actions. Main focus of the role is: Managed a team of 17 people to deliver:

Ensure robust Electronic Systems in the car that meet Customer expectations

Determine Electronic Systems interaction with Manufacturing Systems in the plant to achieve sign off

Ensure team priorities are established to deliver targets – enforce Zero defects culture with robust permanent corrective action implementation

Focus on achieving cost competitiveness by streamlining process and resource

Liaise with Programme Management/ New Model Programs/ Manufacturing / STA and work as a team to deliver seamless launch

Coordinate the resolution of Quality Issues to achieve targeted glide-path to closure.

Coordinate Change Management activities in support of launch objectives and Issues resolution.

Champion analysis and resolution of issues impacting Plant performance e.g. FTT

(First Time Through) / RFT (Right First Time).

Coordinate analysis and resolution of electrical issues that deviate from target e.g. Customer Quality, Drive Events, Gated Launch issues…

Promote use of problem solving tools as appropriate e.g. G8d, Fishbone, IS/IS NOT
