Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL May 2020
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
EXPERIENCE:
Pitney Bowes, Tallahassee, Fl & Miami, Fl March 2017 - November 2017
Electro-Mechanical Technician Intern
oAssessed and implemented efficient machine component changes to ensure production of 1,000,000 pieces of mail per day.
oUpgraded the operator’s mail tray shelves be designing, manufacturing, and installing steel reinforcements to mitigate warping.
oCritically examined machine components during weekly preventative maintenance inspections to ensure smooth machine operation.
oSafely integrated industrial machines into the rebuilding process to reduce machine downtime.
oCompleted and implemented training on Lockout-Tagout procedures.
United States Marine Corps, Quantico, VA July 2017 - August 2017
Officer Candidate (Half-Trained Candidate)
oSet to complete the required training cycle beginning in May 2021.
oCurated schedules to ensure 60 candidates arrived at training events on-time, while completing all necessary evaluations over multiple days.
oSuccessfully demonstrated leadership qualities needed to lead United States Marines.
oQuickly and decisively generated plans, based on new information, that maximized all the team members skill sets to accomplish the simulated mission.
COMPLETED PROJECTS:
Lockheed Martin Deployable Trainer, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering August 2019 – May 2020
Project Manager
oImproved the previous generation Lockheed Martin Deployable AGTS Module to include an easy-to-use, sturdy, adjustable simulator mount and accompanying seat in 2 portable cases.
oAnalyzed the design’s deflection to verify it remained within design constraints.
oUtilized MATLAB during the products verification & validation calculations for the industrial tapes failure analysis.
Set the example of how to work with machining tolerances during product assembly in order to build the working prototype.
Mechatronics Tire Friction Project, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering December 2019
Project Manager
oIndividually designed, and manufactured a mechanical and electronic device to demonstrate the dangers of tire friction changing due to wet/icy roads.
oSubstantial number of components were 3D printed, offering a flexible, low-cost manufacturing solution for the project’s construction.
Mechanical Systems II Chainsaw Weight Mover Project, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering December 2019
oWorked within a team to manufacture a gearbox and mechanism to move a 5lb weight into a box 30 cm away using a small DC motor.
oPlaced 1st among the class and was the only team to successfully move the 5lb weight with our unique chainsaw mechanism.
