Job Position/Title: Fire Protection Engineer (Mechanical) Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Design & Review of Fire & Life Safety Plan complying with NFPA & Local Fire Safety Standards for AHJ approval (Qatar Civil Defence Department – (QCDD)).
Closely working with Architect to ensure that Building Plan complies with NFPA & QCDD standards.
Design & Review of Fire Fighting and ACMV (Air conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Plan) for AHJ approval (QCDD).
Inspects site for work/installations and ensures that the carried out works are in accordance with the contract drawings and AHJ Regulations.
Perform inspection and testing of buildings active fire protections systems i.e. Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting and Smoke Control Systems to make sure that it adheres to requirements of NFPA & AHJ Standards.
Prepare non compliance report for contractor’s rectification.
Review Test Reports, Material Submittal & Shop Drawings submitted by the contractor.
Upload in Online Portal System (Building Permit System) all the documents necessary for AHJ (QCDD) inspection.
Attend AHJ (QCDD) inspection making sure that site are well prepared.
