Presently working in ON SHORE Cyber Drilling RIG WITH TOP DRIVE with British Oil & Gas Exploration Ltd ( BOGEL ) Nigeria) as Tool Pusher.

Have Experience on Piling Conductor casings to the point of refusal by hydraulic piling hammer,drilling directional wells using conventional/Rotary steerable system with Oil base mud and 3 casing policies,run 7”liner casings,EMSS survey, run Dual well completions with 3 ” vamtop & 2 7/8”EUE tubings, experience in handling string stuck & mud loss problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise all drilling operations, the application of appropriate well control measures

Supervise and plan rig moves and camp moves

Plans, manages, supervises and controls the day to day activities of the rig in compliance with Company’s System, respective Drilling Contract Requirements and application of good Drilling Practice Requirements.

Liaise with Client Representative on all Operational and HSE related aspects as stipulated in respective Drilling Contract or as contained in Client Instruction given from time to time in conjunction with this contract.

Report to Drilling Superintendent on a regular basis (Morning / Evening Call) and whenever any non-routine matter arises that is out of the scope of Companies documented procedures and instruction or requested explicitly in Company’s documented Management System or by respective DS.

Responsible for implementing training and instruction as assigned by management on his rig site.

Responsible for the correct crew manning requirements on his site to ensure safe and continued operations.

Ensures that all documentation is correct and checked for work carried out on the site.

Responsible to ensure compliance and monitoring of all training requirements of rig based staff.

a.WELL CONTROL

Secures well in emergency situation

Kills well including shut in well; complete Kill sheet, maintain pump strokes during kill operation

Use good well control procedures as outlines in the Well Control Manual.

b.EQUIPMENT

Oversees periodic inspection and lubrication of draw works, rotary and swivels, maintenance of derrick and associated equipment, operation and service of standpipe manifold, operation and service of drilling fluid system equipment

c.MANAGEMENT

Plans work for drill crew

Provides leadership, motivation to the crew

Prepares hand-over notes for reliever

Trains the crew in the optimum safe performance of its duties and the proper care and maintenance of the rig and drill string

Assists in the implementation of the preventative maintenance system (PMS) where it applied to drilling equipment

Ensures that good housekeeping practice is established and maintained on and around the rig.

d.ADMINSTRATION / TECHNICAL DUTIES

Completes IADC drilling report, drilling logs, well control data sheets and other records required by the Company and/or client

Performs calculations such as maximum allowable shut-in, casing burst pressure, mud weight increase, initial and final circulating pressures, hydrostatic pressure, volume, maximum allowable mud weight and ton miles

Locates information and data in cementing tables, hydraulics books, drilling manuals, etc

Read and interpret various types of gauges, meters, and instruments such as torque meter, weight indicator, pressure gauges, various chart recorders

e.QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts operations in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures

Observes proper rig operating procedures, noting unsafe practices

Plays an active part in QHSE meetings, toolbox meetings and all other company safety management systems

Proficient in STOP for supervisors and uses its techniques. Promotes the use of STOP for employees to the personnel

Ensure that drilling operations are conducted in accordance with company HSE policies and procedures and meet with contractual obligations

Responsible for HSE policies implementation and good practical training

Organizes and leads weekly crew safety meetings and toolbox meetings

Manages running casing by CRT and cementing of casing

Prepares BHA and rig floor equipment for tripping, casing and cementing operation

Performs any other duties as assigned by Tool Pusher

Keeps informed of all QMS, HSE MS and other Requirements by closely observing the Read-me-file-system and closing out of Reading Requirements allocated to him in a timely manner.

Carries out TBT’s at the beginning of each shift and on change of operation and supervises all work under his control to an extend as is necessary to ensure the safety and integrity of staff and plant at all times.

Practice Requirements as contained in IADC and Client’s Drilling Manuals.

Continuously monitors all drilling Parameter to ensure the safety and Integrity of the well and trouble free operation of Rig Machinery and Equipment

f.Human Resources

Maintains good relation with the crew members, and monitors their performance and corrects them by training, so as to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Assists Tool Pusher with staff appraisals.

g.Logistics

Prepares and keeps materials, that need to be transported out, for repair, inspection and testing

Updates the stock register, as and when spares are consumed and initiates requisition for spares.
