Take Part in the maintenance and repair of production machines which ranges from rotary parts, Conveyors, hydraulic systems, vacuuming system, blowers, dryers, blenders and mixers as well as gearboxes.

Conduct planned mechanical maintenance of production machines and equipment as well as, provide support for manufacturing processes to increase product and manufacturing efficiency.

Investigate mechanical failures and unexpected maintenance problems, identify root cause and implement controls to prevent reoccurrence.

Anticipate spare parts required for the installation of machines used in operations. Supervise and inspect installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems in the facility.

Coordination, supervision, and task delegation of the mechanical engineering team.

Partner with technical team in solving engineering problems in mechanical systems and ensure work is reviewed for overall technical accuracy.

Assist in negotiations with local vendors, generating quotations and costing of labour, general supervision of contractors and inspection of work for completeness and compliance with specification.

Collaborate with production and quality team in carrying out validations of systems and equipments including; installation qualification, operation qualifications, performance qualifications, cleaning validations, process validations and temperature mapping.

Preparation, revision and maintenance of Standard operating procedures for guidance in carrying out various tasks, schedules for planned preventive maintenance (PPM), Filter cleaning and general maintenance of HVAC system, documentation and interpretation of designs in various mechanical phases including site plans, equipment diagrams and details.

Work with the compliance team to enforce cGMP, quality standards and ensure proper use of safety equipment and adequate personal protective equipment as appropriate for the task being carried out.

Maintain record of available work equipment, tooling and spares ensuring stock is always above reorder level to prevent shortages.

Carryout risk assessment of the work place and develop ways to eliminate and/or minimize high-risk tasks.

Participate in self inspection and external audit; coordinate training of new staff on the maintenance of equipment and processes.
