Study of Tunnel form of construction using light weight concrete

Efforts are being made in the construction industries to minimize the time taken to complete the construction of a building. And this could be done using tunnel form mould. This enhances the construction speed by completing the floor construction within 4 days. Therefore it takes 5-6 months to complete 20 floors.

Study of Non Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (light weight concrete)

Light weight concrete could be used in the construction for better performance though they result in formation of cracks due to bending moment and tensile forces. Using non autoclaved aerated concrete could eliminate the formation of cracks due to tensile forces as aluminum powder. Aluminum powder is used for hydrogenation process which makes the concrete in form of foam at the initial stage and also reduced final setting time. The result obtained on testing the concrete was 1.5 times the result of ordinary concrete. NAAC could be manufactured using ordinary cement and does not requires the use age of coarse aggregate and much fine aggregate. Flyash are recommended for better strength and plasticizer for workability.

Study on partial replacement of coarse aggregate by using Electronic waste

Efforts are been made in the construction industries to use non-biodegradable components of E-waste for partial replacement of fine or coarse aggregate in concrete. The main aim of the study is to investigate the change in mechanical properties of concrete, by replacing coarse aggregate with E-waste, and found that use of E-waste will reduce the need of conventional materials and resulting in conservation of natural resources.
