Cruise Terminal 3-Functioned as the Sr. Field Inspector, on behalf of the Canaveral Port Authority, on a project includes demolition of the existing terminal and berth and construction of a new berth; a two-story, 186,986 square-foot cruise terminal; a six-story parking garage with over 1790 parking spaces; a baggage annex; provisioning warehouse; two mobile gangways; road widening; and utilities. Project Value:

$163,000,000.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort-Renovated 1728 guest rooms at a pace said to be one of the most aggressive undertakings on a Disney project. Successfully completed an $800,000 self-perform package while turning over 64 rooms a week with no negative guests’ impact at this full functioning resort. Project valued at approximately $6M. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort-Led the team on this renovation of 863 guest rooms and suites, as well as all public corridors and a concierge lounge. Difficulties faced included intricate carpet pattern matches, hand transport of large furniture items through heavily populated public spaces and working in guests occupied buildings. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort-Led all phases of this project, including the bid phase. I wrote all scope sheets, sent out the bid invitations, etc. This project was 728 guest rooms and suites that required new FF&E, carpet, paint, wallpaper border, new exhaust fans and granite countertops in all guest rooms as well as ADA modifications to the handicap guest rooms and new carpet, paint and wallpaper borders in the corridors; all while protecting the existing wood finishes. All of this was completed in only 14 weeks inside a resort that maintained 90+% occupancy.

Marriott Vacation Club’s Horizons-100 villas that received new carpet, paint, and FF&E. Marriott Vacation Club’s Cypress Harbour-100 villas that received new tile throughout the kitchen and bathrooms, the existing kitchen cabinets received new wood veneer and granite countertops, reupholstered banquettes, and custom millwork in addition to paint, carpet and FF&E. Project was completed in 6 weeks.

World Center Marriott’s Convention Pre-Function-90,000 sq ft renovation that began with the demo of the existing water feature and elevated planters. Custom wood cabinetry, new A/V systems, modification of the existing fire sprinkler and alarm systems, complex marble designs, prefabricated metal framing and FRP columns were just a few of the challenge aspects of this project; all while the convention center was at full capacity.

World Center Marriott’s Convention Level Restrooms-Completely gutted the four existing sets of restrooms and reframed everything: utilizing only the existing plumbing and electrical tie-ins. World Center Marriott’s Hall of Cities-Convention rooms that received HVAC upgrades as well as new air wall dividers, cold cathode lighting, wallpaper, acoustic ceilings (grid and tiles), carpet and A/V systems. Fairfield Inn & Suites-An 83 room renovation that included mold remediation as well as new cultured marble tub surrounds, granite vanity tops, carpet, paint, the addition of two 15 ton make-up air units, replacement of all exterior windows, EFIS repair, exterior painting, renovation of the lobby/ breakfast area and replacement of the shingled roof. Orlando International Airport, Airsides 1 & 3-Oversight of all phases of construction which included asbestos abatement, electrical demolition, air handler and fire sprinkler modifications, spray-on fireproof insulation, full restrooms renovation, as well as the basics that included carpet, paint and acoustical ceiling grid and tiles. Activities were constantly being reorganized to accommodate incoming flights throughout the night. Orlando International Airport, Baggage Handling System-Nighttime supervision for approximately 75 union millwrights and electricians. Responsibilities included enforcing safety compliance, coordinating with GOAA and the associated airlines to avoid conflicts with the shutdown of baggage carousels and oversight of system components testing. Vizcaya Condominiums-Assisted in completing owner fit-outs that included hardwood flooring, marble, custom millwork, and doors; as well as creating and signing off punch lists.

Epcot Soarin’ Hardscape and Landscape Package-Included colored concrete, custom flagstone walkways and benches, and a new water feature monument.
