Mini oriented project :

Project Title: Study on PVC Injection Molding.

Major Project :

Project Title: Experimental Investigation on Effect of making Grooves on Piston Head and Performance Test on 4-Stroke Single Cylinder Diesel Engine.

The main object of this project is to investigate the performance technique to enhance the air swirl to achieve betterment in engine performance and lower emissions in a direct injection(DI) single cylinder diesel engine. In order to achieve the swirl intensities in the cylinder, changes on the piston crown has been selected.

To enhance the swirl, series of experiments were conducted like tangential and curved grooves on piston crown and compare the results with normal piston values and by using apricot as Bio-Diesel blends. The blends were obtained by mixing diesel and esterified Apricot biodiesel 10% and Diesel 90%, Similarly B-20&D-80, B-30&D-70 were prepared. The performance parameters such as brake thermal efficiency, Specific fuel consumption and brake power were determined.
