Exploration Section, Exploration & Development Department 2B Operating Co. Ltd (2B OPCO) Sudan

2B OPCO is a consortium of Sudanese oil companies in partnership that formed in 2016, the consortium shareholder are: Sudapet Ltd and PETCO Ltd. 2B OPCO is responible for petroleum exploration and prodution operation in the concession area located in the Sudan oil-rich Muglad Basin. The concession area located approximately 800 km to the SW of Khartoum.

Tasks and Duties:

Carries out seismic interpretation of a variety of areas from acquired data including time and depth maps. Interprets such data to assist in evaluation of prospects for drilling

Prospect generation, evaluation and well proposals for Exploration and Appraisal wells in the 2B OPCO concession areas

Evaluates the traps and prospects by doing fault seal analysis.

Participates and supervises seismic interpretation including the processing and re-processing of data to ensure optimal results.

Pre drilling hydrocarbon resources assessment and risk analysis for exploration wells.

Achievements:

Generate, evaluate, risk and rank drillable proven hydrocarbon prospects in the Tertiary and Cretaceous plays with high rate of success

Fault Seal Analysis for all fault dependent prospects using Trap Tester software (5wells per year).

Participates and supervises seismic interpretation including the processing and re-processing of data to ensure optimal results. Maintains ongoing contacts with seismic crews to monitor and check their work and to keep them advised of changing data gathering parameters.

GNPOC is a consortium of international oil companies in partnership that formed in 1997, the consortium shareholder are: China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), PETRONAS Carigali Nile Ltd., ONGC Nile Ganga BV and Sudapet Ltd. GNPOC is responible for petroleum exploration and prodution operation in the concession area located in the Sudan oil-rich Muglad Basin. The concession area located approximately 800 km to the SW of Khartoum and cover area of 48,914sqr km.

Tasks and Duties:

Carries out seismic interpretation of a variety of areas from acquired data including time and depth maps. Interprets such data to assist in evaluation of prospects for drilling

Prospect generation, evaluation and well proposals for Exploration and Appraisal wells in the GNPOC concession areas

Evaluates the traps and prospects by doing fault seal analysis.

Pre drilling hydrocarbon resources assessment and risk analysis for some exploration wells.

Achievements:

Generate, evaluate, risk and rank drillable hydrocarbon prospects in the Tertiary and Cretaceous plays in El toor (one well proposal), Zafir (three well proposals) El Mahafir (two well proposals), Timsah (one well proposal) and Canar (two well proposals) in GNPOC concession areas.

Fault Seal Analysis for all fault dependent prospects using Trap Tester software (7 wells per year).

Generate drillable hydrocarbon prospects and established a prospects inventory.

Core member of the Block 2 relinquishment team, base on my interpretation, evaluation, risking and ranking of Zafir area the company decided to relinquish this area.

Member of the prospects inventory book team which evaluate and rank over 150 prospects and leads in the Tectonic framework of Block 1,2 &4 study done by RIPED

Core member of Basement prospectively in Blocks 2&4 Muglad Basin targeting the assessment of the petroleum system elements and evaluation of hydrocarbon potentiality of the fractured basement.
