Responsible for the in-house Mechanical Design activities, for a number of projects through all stages starting from estimation, tendering, reaching the detailed design and construction. Under one of the most reputable consultancy firms on the middle east, my responsibilities were as following, Implement specific MEP (HVAC, Firefighting & plumbing) works in accordance with the work program of a project.

Prepare and assist with the preparation of technical reports, progress reports, schemes and bills of quantities. Super vision and hand over of MEP materials and equipment as per approved submittals and project specifications.

Inspection of all completed activities on site.

Super vision and hand over of executed MEP works as per approved shop drawings. Responding to any raised RFIs, ensuring to solve any on site works problems with contractor’s execution engineers.

Preparation of site instruction reports and non-conformance reports. Holding weekly meetings with the Contractors to ensure the quality measures and preparing quality reports. Coordinating with the Contactors the inspection test plan for all construction activities, snagging, testing and commissioning till the final handover to the Client for the following project:

• Madinaty project, Egypt. The project comprised the construction of the residential part (Over 600 building), 18-hole golf course, Utilities buildings, British school, Open air mall, North district services center, South district services center, medical center and the sporting club (which include over 20 separate building).

• January 2010- July 2010, in Egypt

In Masr Cool for HVAC contracting, Egypt;

as an HVAC Project Engineer.

Ensuring the accurate understanding of my contractual scope of work in addition to the project’s specifications, design packages & the project program. Proper understanding of the project’s baseline program and proceeding accordingly. Ensuring the quality of the received shop drawings, checking the quantity surveying teams raised material take offs, and pushing for the procurement of it, reviewing all the relevant technical & material submittals, raising any site inquiries & RFIs.

Planning and deployment of the manpower with clear assignments and continuous assessment tracking the overall team performance, and its production quality to maintain the required safety measures & project’s standards & requirements.

Close coordination with the quality control teams with all the project’s requirements, method of statements, IRMs & etc.

Close coordination with the technical team avoiding any mistakes or extra unnecessary works. Supervising the stores, with accurate coordination to receive the material on site. Handing over the completed works through inspections, preparing the weekly & monthly progress reports. Preparation of the invoices with the quantity surveyors amended with all the required IRs & documentation. Preparation of the red line drawings packages as site inputs for the As built packages. Conducting all the snagging, till the final testing & commissioning and hand over to the Client/Client representative.
