Managing all inpatient care for orthopedic spine patients including; inpatient admissions, rounding, consults, pre-operative evaluations, performing advanced health assessments, drain removal, reviewing postoperative radiographs,
Coordinate the care of the select patient populations, in a collaborative practice agreement with a physician, to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals.
Develop treatment plans independently and treat patients with acute problems and chronic health conditions.
Review patient labs and treat appropriately.
Write Spine section of the Barnes Jewish Hospital monthly Orthopedic newsletter.
Maintain Medicaid and PECOS provider status

Assisting with operative cases including; postoperative orders, positioning in the operating room, assisting in the operating room with exposures and performing closures from March 2007-April 2015
Preceptor for new hire nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner students in need of specialty clinical hours.
Participating for the last nine years in the spine redesign group merging the neuro spine and orthopedic spine departments inpatient and outpatient protocols
Helped to create all EPIC discharge summaries, attending specific postoperative instructions, postoperative order sets, progress notes, discharge order sets and consult notes for the orthopedic spine department.
Worked with Dr. Bottros to develop the Spine Pain Protocol.
Worked with Dr. Warren to develop a postoperative antibiotic protocol based on evidenced based research.
Panel speaker for the last five years at the nurse residency program for talk on continuing education and opportunities for growth at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Speaker for floor nursing education on spine precautions, pain protocols and nursing care specific to spine patients
Participant in the Rapid Spine Recovery Team facilitating rapid recovery processes for minimally invasive surgeries
