Legacy ROSS financial system was to be replaced with the PeopleSoft software package. PeopleSoft is an integrated financial system solution that is tailored to the needs of service-oriented businesses like LMI&TS. Worked on the following
• Developed Informatica mappings, re-usable transformations. Developed and wrote procedures for getting the data from the Source systems to the Staging and to Data Warehouse system.
• Used Power Center Workflow manager for polling, session management, database connection management and scheduling of jobs to be run in the batch process.
• Working on database connections, SQL joins, loops, aliases, views, aggregate conditions, parsing of objects and hierarchies.
• Writing data extracts to Excel files so that Business-users can analyze the data extracts in spreadsheets. These data extracts are also used for high-level Business users reporting purposes.
• Reviewed the business logic and documented the ETL development process.
• Involved in the error checking and testing of the ETL procedures and programs in Informatica.
