Responsibility during Engineer:

Provide support for the mechanical maintenance of field equipment.

Supervise, validate and certify all the commissioning activities and field testing on the rotating equipment, in order to guarantee a smooth and reliable start-up of the plant or assigned area.

Utilize knowledge and familiarity with the international standards in order to minimize the number of waivers and deviations to them.

Provide technical support to the operation team during the entire lifecycle of the rotating equipment, analyzing their performances, operative conditions in order to guarantee reliable and safe operations.

Provide technical solution whenever the machines experience failures, utilizing sound maintenance strategies to analyze, address and rectify the root causes in order to prevent reoccurrences.

Provide technical support to the maintenance team to develop preventive maintenance strategies and checks, along with predictive maintenance strategies and operation based maintenance checks.

Contribute to the overall planning & execution of major shutdowns.

Participate in budget preparation and control of mechanical spare parts, materials and determining appropriate stock levels.

Monitor implementation of vendor documentation requirements and spare parts requirements.

Review availability of spares and raise stock amendment request (SAR) as per requirements for all critical rotating equipment.

Participate in Root cause failure analysis (RCFA), Risk assessment, and provide necessary data for this analysis.

Participate in internal and external audit and close out of action items.

Responsibility during Supervisor:

To supervise and participate in preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance, and testing of all plant mechanical equipment.

To participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities.

To prepare the list of spares, tools and other material required for the maintenance jobs and issue the Purchase/Material requisitions for the Section Head approval.

To evaluate equipment performance problems and to suggest modification / available new technology to reduce overall maintenance cost.

To interface and coordinate with other sections in sorting out equipment problems and maintenance activities.

To conduct toolbox meetings with subordinates for discussing safety and methods of completing job tasks.

To direct and participate in performing Condition Monitoring of rotating equipment and advice on the maintenance schedule based on the analysis.

To participate in budget preparation and cost control.

To monitor and ensure that the shutdown maintenance jobs are carried out within the scheduled time frame.

Ensure that all tools & tackles used by the team are in accordance with the specification /standards.

Alignment of rotating equipment’s using Reverse indicator method and Laser alignment method etc.

Able to read and interpret equipment drawing, P & ID, Process flow diagram etc. of plant and process line.

Appropriate safety procedures are implemented during the execution of work, which will include the review of method of statements.

Familiar with relevant API standards for rotating equipment and seal flush system.

Review engineering drawings of stationary and rotating mechanical equipments for identifying spare parts and managing optimum stock for maintenance.

Periodically review procedures and technical documents for identifying better maintenance practices.

Education:

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from India, in 2013.

Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) from India, in 2003.

Certifications and Trainings:

ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System(QMS)

BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergence Training), from Amazon Institute of Maritime Studies, Mumbai, India.
