Personal Statement
I am a 22-year-old, with a National Diploma in Transportation Management and currently studying to obtain an Advance Diploma in Transport Management at the University of Johannesburg. My studies range within the fields of transportation, supply chain and logistics. I am able to balance extracurricular activities while maintaining an academic aggregate of seventy percent (70%). Through such hard work I was privileged enough to obtain a bursary from the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA). I was also elected as the chairman for the Transport and Logistics Student Association (TaLSA) for the year 2018 and 2019 respectively. Being a chairman of such a vibrant student association has taught me a lot about hard work, networking and the importance of work ethic. Furthermore, I have gained some practical experience within the supply chain industry based on my past experiences working at Edward Snell on a short internship, which is the third largest liquor distribution company in South Africa, as a distribution planner and route coordinator. I have also assisted in stocktaking at Harrack Automotive Air Conditioning.
