Project: - I was working as a Senior HSE personnel with taking responsibility of multiple oil and gas and industrial development projects under Ruwais refinery and Housing Complex and as an overall total worth of Projects was nearly 5 Billion AED. These projects were:-

Design and construction of Ruwais harbor and control tower at western end of Ruwais Refinery ( A petroleum port authority’s project)

Construction of industrial and operational building inside Ruwais refinery area – Brownfield development

Construction of 700 villas for Ruwais refinery

My roles during work was as detailed below (but not limited to): -

Managing and leading the HSE team and control of HSE scope during all phases of each project

Implement legal binding and applicable criteria according to Oil and gas regulations and ADNOC code of practice

Implement Statuary and contractual obligation at all project sites through implementation of HSE Mechanisms, Guidelines

Review and execution of HSE plans, Logistic plans, waste management plan of CONTRACTORs and implementation of the approved procedure at all project sites

Responsible for HSEAI, TRAs compliance, FEED/HAZOP studies to assess the HSE management system’s reliability

Participation in intervallic review of ADNOC’s Integrated management system and thorough review of all SOPs and OCPs, additionally participation in review of HSE annexure of ADNOC and to align the annexures with oil gas standards

Preparation of audit plan, Participation in internal, PMC and third party QHSE audits at all project sites and follow up of all identified issues between CONTRACTOR’s PMC and third-party company

Preparation of intervallic HSE inspection plans and ensure to conduct the same inspections at weekly and monthly basis to verify the compliance level at all project sites

Annual performance review of HSE teams at project sites and coordination of performance appraisals

Participation and arrangement for the HSEIA studies for all projects according to ADNOC COPs requirements

Preparation of training need analysis & training program for each calendar year and conduct the HSE related training at all project sites according to applicable code of practice from OSHAD

Involvement in task risk assessment and risk management process in light of ADNOC COPs to mitigate the risks during execution of activities at project sites

Preparation of individual KPIs for all HSE teams and for project management teams to encourage them to participate in HSE management process

Review of CONTRACTOR’s performance by using analytical techniques and by using the available data

Preparation of Project close out report through all of the valuable sources, i.e. available data, lessons learned, best implemented practices and recommendations for improvement

Arrangement of routine health surveillance at workplace and worker’s residential camps to identify the health trends of individual CONTRACTORs

Preparation and communication of workplace HSE trends analysis for each project and follow up with the stakeholders to ensure the improvement of unacceptable conditions
