EXPERIENCE
JUNE 2020 – AUGUST 2020
CEO, Pro-teck
Through a 3 credit, GMU Engineering School sanctioned, Technology Innovation Venture Startup Business simulation course, explored and examined the role of “entrepreneurship” and “intrapreneurship” using Lean Startup Business Principles relevant for engineers and scientists.
Worked as team leader to the develop Lean Start-up elements of a business plan for a simulated new business tech venture called Pro-TECK which created a shock absorbing material that would be used in helmets to help prevent head injuries. Development of the plan included but was not limited to the communication of the problem-solution “fit”, the viability of the opportunity (problem / market size, customers, marketing, path to market, pricing, and strategic partnerships, etc.) along with the development of financial revenue and cost modeling as well as customer hypotheses, to test the plans feasibility.
Specifically developed, led, and presented portions of the required Semester Innovation Business Capstone Project Presentation, essentially a venture business “pitch deck”, to an actual guest investor for comment, feedback, and reaction, all within the business simulation.
