• Studied various articles and journals on innovative and commonly used treatment methods.

• Decreased the amount of organic carbon and high concentration of ammonium ions which led to high nitrification and then denitrification. The ammonium concentration was decreased from 26.8 mg/L to 0.29 mg/L in trickling filter.

• Improved the removal efficiency using biological methods for municipal wastewater treatment from 75% to 95%. Research Project on hazardous compound - Trichloroethylene (TCE). May 2019

• Analyzed the fate and transport of TCE, performed a laboratory experiments to check the concentration of TCE to be useful in day-to-day life.

• LNAPL and DNAPL were measured for TCE concentration.

• New compounds were experimented to replace TCE in the environment. Twinkle R. Thakkar

• Before entering the water into the bio-sand filter, it was passed through the screens. Hence it removes the turbidity and improves the efficiency.

• Biological activity was increased by adding nutrients in the water and thus its removal efficiency was increased from 65% to 75- 80%.

Batch electrochemical coagulation for removal of organics from hospital wastewater stream.

• Using this innovative method, COD removals of over 90%, Oil & Grease 80%, TS & TDS removal 40-50% was achieved.

• Higher removal efficiencies were achieved at applied cell voltages 16 and 20 V. EDUCATION
