Take primary responsibility of HSE process/activities in the Project

Coordinate the preparation of Project HSE Plan and procedures

Developing Job Safety Analysis JSA, for hazard identification and implementation of appropriate controls.

Carry out safety inspections and audits on site

Review method statement and risk assessment of subcontractors and carry out site inductions.

Prepare Monthly HSE report with HSE statistics

Provide senior level supervision to site, Interpret safety regulations and advise codes of practice, to line management.

Organize HSE training programs and evacuation drills

Carried out incident /accident investigation.

Preparation of Emergency Response Plan

Selection of suitable Personal Protective Equipment Review and update of HSE Management system and related procedures

Ensure all equipment’s and tools are third party certified, up to date and in good working order

Prepare and submit of periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) HSE reports, Inspect and approve camp, yard, workshop, offices from HSE perspective

Roles and Responsibilities:

Undertakes as a minimum a weekly safety inspection and prepares a report for submittal and review with the HSE Manager. This report is also transmitted to the HSE Coordinator

Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily Observation Register. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be reported immediately. Raise Near Miss / Incident Reports when highlighted

Report immediately to the Safety Manager any serious safety breaches that place workers in life-threatening situations

Assist the safety Manager, in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statements

Develop and deliver internal training courses on health and safety topics to the site team

Undertake a weekly Toolbox Talk with site assigned personnel and ensure that records are maintained of the talks
