Get approved HVAC-R Drawings, MEP-Coordination Drawings, Work method statement and project specification from Project Engineer
Ensure the HVAC-R ducts, fittings, accessories and chilled water pipes, fittings, accessories are available and approved by Inspection department prior to starting the work
Ensure sufficient hand tools, power tools, ladder and scaffolding are available for proceeding the work
Coordinate with concerned departments and staffs to ensure site clearance is available to start the HVAC-R activities
Arrange the sufficient manpower such as supervisor, foreman, duct fitter, pipe fitter, assistant fitters etc., and ensure all of them attended safety meetings and are having proper PPE’s prior to starting the work activities at site
Provide approved HVAC-R drawing, MEP co-ordination drawing to the site-supervisor (or) foreman and inform them to shift the required ducting and piping, approved materials and tools from warehouse to site and arrange required material to avoid progress delay
Prior to starting work activities, notify to QC and safety department for site inspection to ensure the quality and safety at work
To maintain safety, all construction, HVAC-R and chilled water piping activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s safety policies and procedures; ensure that appropriate safety and protective equipment is used by company & contractor staff
Monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with approved engineering drawing and specification and get daily progress report from site supervisor (or) foreman and update to Project Engineer (or) Manager
Preparing relevant documents to conduct inspection for completed installation activities and raise RFI to QC department and concerned authorities
Carry out all planned site inspections as per the intervention points marked in the relevant drawing and standard
Preparing the relevant documents to conduct testing inspection such as chemical washing and pressure test for chilled water piping systems
Active involvement in essential meetings with the Project and QC departments to resolve the site related issues and assessment of project progress report.
Assist the Commissioning Team in pre-commissioning and commissioning stages of all HVAC-R equipments
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on all HVAC-R equipments and proactively carry out necessary actions if required
Attend various complaints and assistance calls received from various departments regarding HVAC-R equipments and its working conditions
Projects handled:
Installation and commissioning of two 50tr Blue Star Air-cooled Chillers for Accuray CyberKnife treatment facility and Accuray Tomotherapy treatment facility for Oncology Dept
Worked on the installation and commissioning of “TRANE – INGERSOL RAND” CDQ Air handling Unit with desiccant wheel, the first and only one of its kind in India in 2016
