Duties included standing watch and all duties pertaining to the watch, on-deck cargo operations, mooring, anchoring, maintenance, safety and equipment inspections (daily/weekly/monthly), officer training and navigations training modules in accordance with STCW requirements, interpersonal communications, crew and employee management, time/scheduling management, administrative duties, payroll, and conflict resolution.

Duties include on-deck operations, cargo operations, manifold connect/disconnect, load and discharge operations, maintenance and steward duties.

Deck Cadet – Alaska Tanker Company 2/13 – 5/13
