KUWAIT FLOUR MILLS & BAKERIES CO. S.A.K. is a premier establishment in food industry in the State of Kuwait. The company is having around 14 plants (Factories) throughout Kuwait where various products such as several type of flours, oils, biscuits, pastas, Arabic bread varieties, European bread varieties and gluten free products are being produced. The Quality Department closely monitors and supervises entire quality related processes in the organization in order to ensure safe and premier quality food to the consumers. My major role is to manage, support and coordinate quality assurance activities in the organization and ensure compliance of plant activities with the relevant regulatory standards. Key Deliverables:

Assist, support and coordinate quality assurance activities in the organization and ensure compliance of plant activities with the relevant international food safety standards.

Develop, establish and review procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, clarity of purpose and ensure its availability to end-users with complete conformance with standard requirements.

Conduct, support and update HACCP study on all stages of production processes and ensure appropriate control over identified hazards through CCP, OPRP and PRP based on evaluation.

Follow-up with plants and bakeries to ensure the Quality System Programs, processes and procedures are implemented in order to ensure the quality and integrity of manufactured products.

Support development and maintenance of Quality Assurance/QA programs in the company in accordance with the accepted international quality standards and organization objectives and policies.

Recommend, implement and guide various departments to modify operational methods and practices along with overall strategy to enhance department effectiveness following set standards such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC, HALAL, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, GMP, 5S etc.

Conduct inspections within organization to ensure conformance of accepted requirements and highlight non compliance through issuance of non-conformity report.

Assist in analysis of root cause and identification of appropriate corrective action (CAPA) for detected non- conformities.

Follow up and control over Non Conformance Report systems (NCR) within the organization.

Prepare internal training manuals and provide internal awareness training on company policy, GMP, quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000 etc.

Plan and conduct internal audit program and prepare audit summary reports.

Support and co-ordinate for successful execution of external audit programs.

Participate in and prepare plants for external food safety audits and ensure successful compliance to the audit requirements and assist in closure of CAR.

Interpret and support overall implementation of relevant Food Safety Management System requirements.
