The Nurse Practitioner evaluates patient condition and medical needs while developing plan of care to be approved by attending Physician. The Nurse Practitioner performs clinical procedures under direction of attending Physician and according to approved protocols. The Nurse Practitioner initiate orders for routine Laboratory, radiologic and diagnostic examinations or tests based on attending Physician’s verbal orders and written protocol. The Nurse Practitioner develops and maintains active practice in facilities. The Nurse Practitioner participates in Continuing Medical Education Programs and attends Resident Conference. Maintains effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; provides patient care in a competent, professional and courteous manner; and keeps abreast of current research and incorporates relevant findings into specific areas of clinical practice.
