Duties & Responsibilities
Enforce rules in order to anticipate problems/injuries.
Maintain concentrated observation of the duty area and its users in order to anticipate problems and to identify an emergency quickly.
Supervise the use of the pool and other equipments such as floaters, swimming goggles, water slides and even the diving board.
Carry out rescues and initiate other emergency action as necessary.
Give immediate First Aid in the event of injury to a bather or other incidents.
Communicate with bathers and other users to help fulfil the above tasks

Ensure the safety of the pool patrons by enforcing the established pool rules and responding to emergencies when they arise.
Administer First Aid or CPR when needed and report all serious accidents to the Pool Manager or Aquatics Supervisor. Complete necessary paperwork at the conclusion of all rescues and accidents.
Attend all scheduled shifts and lifeguard in service meetings.
Act as a substitute when needed to ensure a safe and effective swimming environment.
