Cellphone: 508-***-**** • Dear Hiring Manager at Terrafugia,

I am very interested in aerospace internships and saw the Test Engineering Intern opportunity on Linkedin. I would love the opportunity to work for Terrafugia as they aim to launch the field of transportation into the future. Flying cars are always at the center of peoples’ ideas of the future and have a practical efficiency to them as well. I am an upcoming senior mechanical engineering student with a minor in aerospace at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. As an engineer, my ability to think academically and practically is challenged everyday. I have several skills relating to mechanical, aerospace, electrical, management, and troubleshooting gained through coursework and projects. Naturally with engineering, I have developed the skills to work with mechanical mechanisms to create and fix any issues along the way. In the job description, it lists the responsibilities as management and testing, all which I have prior experience with. I have taken 3 courses focused on management with Design Theory, Engineering Project Management, and Industrial Design of Experiments. My 4 years at school has also introduced me to many different methods of testing which could serve useful for this internship. In terms of desired skills and experience, I have taken introductory flying lessons along with a large interest in aviation and have used MATLAB since freshman year at UML. I hope to hear from you in the future and am very excited about this opportunity. I can be reached at either my cell phone, 508-***-****, or my email, I appreciate your consideration of my application. Thank you for your time.
