Customers: Ford, Sharda Motor, YAPP, Ashok Leyland. ROLES &RESPONSIBILITY:

Manage the Vendor quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty).

Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.

Conduct new supplier assessment audits before going ahead for any new development with supplier.

PPAP review & approval for Vendor New product development, Localization & ECN Changes.

Weekly review on the new developments / localizations with suppliers and team. Review will be conducted to analyses various aspects like – Cost reduction - Work on supplier continual improvement in perspective of quality, process to obtain better results to supplier which can be shared with us by providing cost reduction.

Carry out product and process auditing, Control the change management activity & to conduct PPAP Audit, quality system audit at supplier one’s in a year at supplier end.

Lead the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks.

Monthly prepare supplier scoring cards. Inform every supplier about their individual scores and where they stand in COOPER STANDARD ranking. This also should be used to measure the supplier performance.

Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis.

Responsible to attend supplier rejections and quality problems immediately to resolve the same by discussing and obtaining 8D reports. Monitor the 8D Closure.

Conduct PPAP audit and PPAP sign-off

Prepare MRM in respect to localization and supplier improvement and development.

Conduct supplier audits at least once in a year.

Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced produc t quality planning (APQP).

Assist supplier quality manager with supplier improvement process and/or development activities.

Initiate to implement green channel suppliers.
