Aaron Banga
Electrical Apprentice
September **, 2020
Dear Recruiter:
Please accept this application for the position of Electrical Apprentice with Royal Electrical Contractors. I decided to go into this field after watching a friend of the family install the electrical work in our renovated basement and have been intrigued ever since. I look forward to this exciting opportunity to learn from professionals in the electrical field as I work toward becoming a certified Electrician.
During my time with VanHalteren Construction, I was able to demonstrate working safely while showing attention to detail along with tight deadlines. I have an excellent work ethic as I work well with other team members as well as alone, and was given responsibility to lead other workers on previous job sites. On job sites, I also took it upon myself to talk to the customers and represent the company in a professional manner. I have gained great working knowledge in construction doing many different tasks, which include lifting houses, pouring and finishing concrete, operating heavy machinery, and using hand and power tools. I am a hard and determined worker who likes to get the job done on time while providing customers with exceptional service.
I have successfully completed the 2-year Electrical Engineering Technician program at Durham College and graduated on the Honour Roll. This program has given me quality skills, knowledge and experience in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Code, Project Logic Controllers, Electrical Signaling Systems, Electrical Motor Controls, Electronics, Electrical Safety and Communications, and Installation Methods. I have obtained my Working at Heights certification and I am very comfortable on ladders and aerial devices. I have great understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code through my studies at Durham College.
I have a valid Ontario driver’s license, my own vehicle, and an excellent driving record. I am physically fit and enjoy working indoors and outside. I own my own tools and have experience using them during my program at Durham College, as well as working in construction. I also have my own safety equipment, steel-toed boots and hardhat.
Thank you for taking the time to review my cover letter and resume. I hope to hear from you regarding an interview. The best way to contact me would be by email.
Sincerely,
Aaron Banga
