Please accept the attached resume as application for your Welding Apprentice position. I am a highly capable Journeyman Ironworker, Class 1 Driver and a general labourer with over 14 years experience in the commercial and industrial industry in Alberta.

Through the experience of my past employment I have gained many skills relevant in my field: physically fit, practical, problem-solving and dexterity. I am safety orientated, a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment and in different climates. I have the skill set to operate and maintain all forms of equipment necessary for the position. I have extensive experience in performing manual tasks and am competent in using hand tools necessary for the work. I possess the ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions both orally and written and have the knowledge to make practical objective decisions. I have spent many hours interpreting blueprints and working with rigging and cranes.

I have a goal to acquire my journeyman welding ticket, to accompany my structural ticket and I am prepared to start at whatever level your company requires to become indentured and to ultimately achieve my career goal. I am also looking for long term/full time employment with a company local to Edmonton and am prepared to work in whatever capacity you need me to for your projects. I have a strong work ethic, I have experienced and safe trade skills and I am always looking for ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
