Helicopter Aircraft Commander and Mission Commander
Designated Helicopter Aircraft Commander and Mission Commander for the SH-60B LAMPS MK III helicopter. In charge of a three-man crew, was responsible for employing the LAMPS MK III weapons system from surface combatants in various tactical roles such as anti-submarine warfare, anti-ship warfare and electronic surveillance. Trained Helicopter Second Pilots (copilots) in the demanding small flight deck environment, conducting tactical training flights and shipboard landing qualification flights in preparation for them becoming Aircraft/Mission Commanders.
