Senior Test Engineer, 1999 – 2019

Set up test bed, installed software and designed test cases for Cisco Catalyst 9300, 9400 and 9500 switches. Manually executed test cases and troubleshooted failures, identified switch bugs as they arise. Worked with development to isolate, characterize and reproduce bugs. Automated test cases for future regression using Cisco ATS (TCL) and Pyats (Python) framework.

Tested Meraki/Beluga 9300 platform switches functionality and Meraki application which includes upgrading and downgrading switch and application software with python scripts.

Analyzed customer found defects and provided corrective/constructive actions for defect causes and implemented methods to improve testing for better software quality scripts.

Wrote the test plan and tested service functionality which includes MEC (multi-chasis etherchannel), QoS, L2/L3 IPv4/IPv6 unicast/multicast traffic, SVI, security and others for SVL (Stackwise-Virtual Link - a virtual distributed layer switches) in an end to end (from Data center, Core, Distributed and access switches) environment for Catalyst 9400, 9500 series with TCL/TK scripts.

Manually executed AP pass-through test cases using TSIM as AP and client simulator. C3850 switch can work both as an access switch or a wireless controller. As an access switch, the 3850 acts as a Layer 2 switch and passes all the AP traffic onwards (AP pass-through). As a wireless controller, Aps connected to 3850 need to terminate on it.

Planned and tested various Layer 2 module integration in the switch area.

Planned, set up and tested large scale switches for Catalyst 4000 Layer 2 system testing including spanning-tree convergent time.

Wrote test plan and technical tips and tested Baby Giants feature for Cat4000 switches.

Wrote scripts using Tcl/Tk for IP routing and Kerberos services.

Tested IP Routing Protocols including EIGRP, RIP, OSPF and STATIC routes for Cat4000 switches.
