I have worked in the construction industry for more than 25 years serving in multiple leadership roles. My project experience is in the following sectors, manufacturing, healthcare, primary and secondary education, power generation and sports/entertainment venues. In my most recent position as the Director for Projects and Engineering, I directed and coordinated all project managers and contractors for facility maintenance and operations support projects from concept to Client turn-over for Pratt & Whitney. In my role as Construction Project Manager I managed modernization ground-up construction projects that were delivered on schedule and on budget.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversaw the facility design engineering and construction for all industrial and construction projects
Completed the initial bid request package, developed the scope of work for all subcontractors/vendors, contracts, schedules and project risk analysis for engineering, construction, commissioning and 3rd party testing work
Develop project plans to monitor, track and report progress of simultaneous initiatives and ensured that each phase of the respective projects are delivered within time and budget
Following up on action items and drive resolutions as well as facilitate additional meetings to close out key issues
Provide complete executive summary, project status, facility and project risk assessments for stakeholders and business unit leaders
Developed capital and expense project budgets for annual and multi year forecast
Executed an average annual capital plan of $100M for capital and expense projects
Managed the procurement process for bidding work, engineering/project management support, purchasing equipment, materials and services including the evaluation of all bids and proposals for all projects
Coordinate project implementation and provide stakeholders and senior management with regular progress briefings
Coordinated project efforts between stakeholders, project managers, operations and maintenance to support project goals and deliverables
Coordinated with MEP support staff for appropriate utility and equipment changes and moves for all projects
Developed and managed staffing support for engineering and project management to align with the annual capital plan
Facilitated and supported the safety program for commercial and industrial projects
Spearheaded FF&E coordination of medical equipment delivery and installation for a $300M hospital

PROJECTS & POSITION SUMMARY
RTX Experience (2017 – 2020): Pratt & Whitney, Columbus, GA ($500M), Director of Projects & Engineering: The Columbus GA site is growing with expansion projects, industrial system upgrades, new construction, remodeling and the replacement of aging systems/infrastructure. The projects included electrical switchgear and substation start-up, general construction, mechanical and plumbing upgrades, environmental projects, site hydrology management and commissioning.
Jacob’s Experience (2015-2017): St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL ($300M), Construction Manager: New turnkey construction of the St. Elizabeth`s Hospital, Medical Office Building and Regional Medical Campus on a new green field. This is a 144 inpatient bed facility, 360K GSF including typical hospital services such as an Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Services, ER Department, Gynecological Services, Cardiac Services and Pharmacy. Jacobs served as the Program Manager monitoring safety, construction activities, performing schedule and pay application reviews, cost estimates and ensuring Quality Assurance.
Fulton State Hospital Energy Control Center, Fulton, MO ($30M), Construction Manager: New turnkey ground-up construction of the hospital control center and steam generation facility. Jacobs served as the Program Manager for the owner monitoring construction, reporting, quality, 3rd party testing, commissioning and start-up.
Prestige Construction Group Experience (2014): Small Capital Projects, Richmond, VA ($20K to $600K) Construction Manager: My deliverables included interior and exterior renovations for historic buildings including a hotel, which involved the Historic Review Board submittals with associated tax credits, new construction for a warehouse and the housing authority office for the city of Richmond.
Three Quadrant Enterprises, LLC Experience (2009 – 20014): River City Rehabilitation & Spine Specialists, PC, Columbus, GA ($200K) Construction Manager: Operating as a JV partner with Majestic Management Services, LLC to complete renovation work for an 8,000 SF medical facility.
