EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant, Reasoning Lab- UTD Jan 2019 - Present Our goal was to explore and understand the Wason Selection Task (deductive reasoning) by designing a 3D game immersive scenario study in Unity. Recruited and scheduled 100+ participants along with conducting interviews for the study. Performed data analysis (Qualitative and Quantitative) to study the effects of real-world condition on the task. Acted as project manager by communicating and handling project management through Jira and Slack. Documented the findings of the research and analysis which was presented at APS poster showcase and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Fort Worth Research Intern, Carpe Apr 2018 - Jun 2018

Conducted focus group interviews of 150+ women and ethnographic research to evaluate the need for improving menstrual hygiene practices in rural parts of India, for cooperate social responsibility investments. Co-ordinated the project using Microsoft Teams to collaborate with other team members. I also advocated the use of various cost-effective menstrual hygiene solution via in-person sessions & the knowledge transfer impacted 65% reduction in potential health risks. My research finding served a benchmark for business to make investment decisions. UX Researcher, Mellowain (e-commerce solution) Jul 2016 - Mar 2018 Mellowain’s goal was to eliminate the queues at the stores by designing a smart trolley. I analyzed usability, then proposed software interface to provide an interactive user guide for training potential client. Conducted interview with retail store personnel and helped to analyze and summarize the data to create user personas. Managed and coordinated between various team using Jira. Designed content-based recommendation system (reducing shopper’s movement by 30%) and two-part log-in system (Increasing the purchase by 25%) which increase the system usability score from 50 to 80. Box Usability Testing

Goal: To conduct and learn about various UX research methods to uncover user problems in Box, targeting ArtSci lab, UTD. Collaborated with key team members to define user goals, outline user workflow and designed survey. Conducted independent user research using various qualitative and quantitative research methods. Synthesized data using affinity mapping techniques for prioritizing the research opportunities, prototyped solutions using lo-fi sketches, for the pain points uncovered from the synthesis of data. Presented results with actionable insights to the stakeholders and as well-as tested it with the users. Researching Pioneers of UI/UX

Goal: To understand the perception and penetration of UI/UX in the industry. Reached out to twenty UI/UX professionals and Designed a questionnaire, which explored opportunities and important skills required for early professional.
