Independent Study Research August 2016 – May 2017

• Perform literature survey to study the synthesis of gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) on ZnO substrate/surface.

• Identify important process parameters that influence the morphology and size of AuNPs on the ZnO substrate

• Fabricated glucose biosensor using zinc oxide (ZnO) and AuNPs on ITO glass substrate by simple drop casting method.

• Enhanced biosensor by using PBS (buffer solution) and GOx (Glucose Oxidase) onto the surface of the ZnO substrate.
