Controls Engineer Trainee - LHP Engineering Solutions, USA June 2020 - present
Working alongside highly experienced professionals in a competitive work environment with hands-on training on diesel engine and control systems including Speed Governing, Controls Modelling, PID control strategies and implementation, System Diagrams, OBD(On Board Diagnostics), ECM Wiring, and CAN Communications (J1939).
Project work on Electronic Throttle Control, Distributed Control Systems and CAN Communications between two Woodward ECMs, HIL (Hardware-In-Loop) testing of a simulated diesel engine using Simulink and MotoHawk, and finally running live 24-valve diesel engine debugging all errors and issues faced while HIL testing simulated model.
Learned the implementation of Functional Safety concepts of ISO 26262, Agile SCRUM methodology, V modelling techniques, IP training, Business Etiquette, Leadership, Stress and Conflict Management, Professional Communication, Teamwork and Confident Presentations.
Manufacturing Engineering Intern- Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited, India May 2016- Aug 2016
Performed Root Cause Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis of defective composite components like Tail cone, nose cone, inlet and outlet valves of the aircraft to rectify the error and improve efficiency of the components.
Worked alongside highly experienced manufacturing and Aerospace Engineers and implemented 5S methodology to improve manufacturing efficiency process and learned to optimize effective use of resources for manufacturing parts of the aircraft.
Provided advisory services from the ground to aircraft in non-controlled airspace and underwent extensive training on air traffic control regulations.
Demonstrated the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements pertaining to ISO 9001/2013 Standards by learning from experienced professionals and implementing functional safety standards of ISO 9001.
Design Trainee - CADD Training Center and Services, India Aug 2015 -Jan 2016
Designed various parts of an engine including engine block, piston, piston rings crankshaft, camshaft, spark plug, connecting rod, oil sump, inlet and outlet valves using AUTOCAD software, while pursuing my master diploma(part time) in automotive design at CAD training center.
Tested and assembled the designed parts into a whole engine using SOLIDWORKS software. Quality Engineering Intern - TAQA Neyveli Power Company Private Limited, India May 2015 - Aug 2015
Conducted quality inspection on selected equipment’s of the powerplant like turbine, boiler and the ash handler systems and helped the Quality engineering team in quality procedures like Part production Approval Process(PPAP) and Advanced Part Quality Production(APQP) for the operation of the power plant.
Worked under the maintenance team in the ash handler and dust removal systems of the powerplant. Created FMEA charts for various Failures that can occur while working in the ash handler system and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) for the various hazards in the workplace that can occur while handling the exhaust of the powerplant mainly dust and ash.
Worked in a challenging environment with hazardous wastes and excessive noise alongside highly experienced professionals controlling the air quality and emission norms of the powerplant. PROJECT WORK
60 cc Mini Dirt Bike
Led a team of 6 members in the design and fabrication of 60 cc mini dirt bike.
Designed the chassis of the dirt bike using SOLIDWORKS and to conduct various Failure Mode Analysis tests like fatigue, impact and deformation due to pressure while fabrication using Ansys Workbench.
Conducted FMEA on the dirt bike to reduce the Risk Priority Number (RPN) which helped in validating and verifying the functional safety of the vehicle.
Finished 3rd in a pool of 20 competitors during the race conducted by SAE BAJA. All-Terrain Vehicle
Worked with a team of 20 members in the design and fabrication of all-terrain vehicle conducted by SAE BAJA.
Designed the chassis of the ATV using SolidWorks.
Performed Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) on the vehicle to determine its Risk Priority Number, determined its severity, detection and controllability of the problem that can occur in the all-terrain vehicle CERTIFICATIONS
