OBJECTIVE To benefit an organization through my experience related to protective security services including protecting U.S. Government facilities, participating in convoy operations using defensive driving and protective driving skills, and conducting military operations related to counterterrorism and surveillance.

EXPERIENCE TRAINING CHIEF & ACTING PLATOON SERGEANT. U.S. Army, Schofield Barracks, HI (2008-09). In a forward support aviation company of 128 soldiers, was in charge of all aspects of training. Also acted as Platoon Sergeant as an E-5 until the slot could be filled with an E-6—motivated and supervised 14 employees. As NCOIC of Training, worked with the commander to develop training programs and plans to achieve the organization’s goals. Developed and maintained a complex calendar and schedule for all training. Maintained the unit’s training files and assured that each individual personnel file was up-to-date at all times. Reviewed individual soldier’s training requirements and goals, and advised military professionals of upcoming training needs. Coordinated with training programs and schools, such as language schools.

§ From a performance evaluation: “Demonstrated strong, dynamic leadership and was emulated by peers and subordinates alike. Strove for excellence in all tasks. She was undaunted in her pursuit to keeping the company training program a top priority and ensured that the company always passed inspections with little to no deficiencies. § Aircraft refueling: Worked as a Squad Leader in charge of four soldiers refueling aircraft.

AIRCRAFT FUEL HANDLER & SERGEANT OF THE GUARD. U.S. Army, Tikrit, Iraq (2006-07). Issued, received, accounted for, inspected, and maintained quality assurance of bulk petroleum fuel supporting 12 CH-47s, 10 UH-60s, and four medical evacuation aircraft. Supervised and trained three junior soldiers while accounting for two M978 fuel HEMTTs valued at over $200,000. As NCOIC of the Cold Fuel Operation, supervised one NCO and four junior employees. Supported MEDEVAC operations.

§ Security management: While stationed at FOB Speicher, was handpicked as Sergeant of the Guard and performed guard duty as Tower Supervisor in charge of three towers providing security for the base. Provided armed force protection services for a U.S. military forward staging facility which contained 15,000 soldiers and multimillion-dollar equipment. Performed inspections of personnel manning the towers and continuously trained personnel in incident response.

§ Security patrols and convoys: Was involved in numerous security patrols including protective security details for VIPs. Drove on convoys throughout Iraq in order to provide fuel to forward operating bases and trucks and to aircraft in medical evacuation situations.

§ Management experience: Was selected as NCOIC of the Cold Refuel Night Shift for three months.

§ Training experience: Conducted weekly meetings at various times due to shift work schedules. Gave numerous classes on CTT, Safety, and MOS specifics to ensure that soldiers were current on mandatory training. Conducted hands-on training for soldiers at the Brigade Hot Refuel Facility.

§ Maintenance management and inventory control: Demonstrated my maintenance management know-how as the Maintenance NCO. Ensured that M 978 fuelers stayed off their maintenance deadline report by aggressively performing preventive maintenance. Ensured that filters were changed annually on eight fuel trucks which enabled the cold gas section to complete their daily refueling mission. Maintained 100% accuracy of monthly fuel report. Accounted for over 1.5 million gallons of jet fuel.

§ From a performance evaluation: “Demonstrated POL knowledge by skillfully teaching soldiers the proper techniques used in aviation fuel operations. Possesses a superb ability to make difficult decisions with minimal guidance.”

FUELER & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR. U.S. Army, Korea (2005-06). As a Fueler in Korea, traveled throughout Korea to top off vehicles with fuel. Because of my driving expertise and interpersonal skills, was handpicked as the Driver for the First Sergeant.

§ Administration and computer operations: Was cross-trained to perform administrative duties. In an Orderly Room, operated a computer while processing pay inquiries, processing awards, and processing performance evaluations. Was commended for my administrative abilities and earned a promotion to NCOIC of the Orderly Room. As NCOIC of the Orderly Room, supervised three individuals and utilized software including SIDPERS while processing leave forms, NCOERs, Article 15s, pay inquiries, and other personnel paperwork.

REFUELING SPECIALIST. U.S. Army, Ft. Bragg, NC, and Iraq (2004-05). Performed hot refueling with a MEDEVAC unit (the 57th Medical Co.) and supported 85 aircraft. As the Senior E-4, supervised three soldiers. Performed 24-hour-duty which required me to remain on the hangar and receive notification from Special Operations about when aircraft needed fuel.

AIRCRAFT REFUELING SPECIALIST& SECURITY GUARD. Iraq (2003-04). Deployed to Iraq for 15 months. Was involved in aircraft refueling all over Iraq. Also performed gate guard duties.

§ Gate guard duty and security operations: Performed duties as a Gate Guard. While in charge of a gate, checked vehicles and escorted Iraqis seeking access to the base for various reasons. Frequently maintained weapons in a ready-to-fire position while escorting visitors to the base. Worked on 12-hour-a-day shifts. administrative abilities and earned a promotion to NCOIC of the Orderly Room. As NCOIC of the Orderly Room, supervised three individuals and utilized software including SIDPERS while processing leave forms, NCOERs, Article 15s, pay inquiries, and other personnel paperwork.

§ Facility protection: Manned guard positions at multiple locations including entry-gate control points, search lanes, and tower overwatch. Conducted foot and vehicle patrols of facilities and manned posts, and inspected property to protection against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.

Earliest military experience: Joined the U.S. Army in 2000 and was trained as a Petroleum Refueling Specialist and Transportation Specialist/Driver. Completed extensive training at Ft. Leonard Wood and Ft. Lee. Became a skilled Aircraft Fuel Handler and Petroleum Heavy Vehicle Operator.

Highlights of other experience (1998-2000): After high school, worked as an Assembly Line Worker for a company which went out of business. Then was hired as a Manufacturing Technician for Maidenform in Fayetteville, NC, which manufactured women’s undergarments. Prepared underwear for shipping to stores and became skilled in quality assurance. Reason for leaving Maidenform: To join the U.S. Army.

COMPUTERS Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software. Knowledgeable of ULLS, SARSS, SIDPERS, and other software by the military for administrative purposes.

EDUCATION& College: Completed college courses at multiple colleges in my spare time while in military service.

TRAINING Completed 533 hours of Correspondence Courses while in the U.S. Army related to safety and security, administration and management, transportation and logistics, hazardous materials management and OSHA, and many other areas.

High School: Graduated from E.E. Smith High School, Fayetteville, NC, 1998.

VEHICLE& Knowledge of military vehicles: Trained and qualified to operate vehicles, water trailers, and equipment

Petroleum supply and truck refueling: Completed five weeks of specialized training related to truck refueling and driving, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Graduated from the Petroleum Supply Specialist Course.

Marksmanship: Qualified on weapons including M-4, M16, M9, and .50 cal. Expert with rifle.

Graduated from Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Warrior Leader Course, 2008—received a special Certificate of Commendation for outstanding performance in the Army Physical Fitness Test by scoring over 290 points on the test which measures stamina, strength, endurance, and fitness skills. Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), 2008. Airborne Course, 2000. Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), 2000.

Counterterrorism: Extensive training related to counterterrorism and protective services.

Radios: Knowledgeable of radio systems including HF, VHF, and UHF. Knowledgeable of many types of surveillance systems including equipment installed on vehicles including Blue Force Tracker.
