PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

April 2017 – Present Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center Exhibit Hall Event Manager

• Review hotel contractual agreement and addendums during the group planning in accordance with company policies while ensuring group satisfaction.

• Manage over 150 affiliated groups with a catering goal of $550,000.

• Responsible for the building of all meeting specifications, execution of show and account reconciliation for all affiliated F&B events during the current Exhibition Show

• Cultivate vendor relationships, maintain client interaction and negotiate preferred pricing to increase profitability and drive ESS score

• Assist with the launch of the online Boomer Commerce system used to collect utility orders resulting in an increase in revenue by 30% in inception and continually increasing thereafter

• Proficiency in CI, pulling reports, creating estimates and finalizing billing for the client

• Manage Exhibit hall trade shows for up to 180,000 square feet of meeting space

• Work directly with the accounting team for payment collection and to ensure timely receipt to stay within strict guidelines and time constraints

• Coordinate the electrical layouts of $1.5 million in utility services for 2019.

• Prepare financial reports to display solely food & beverage revenue that assist the event planner with forecasting a predictable income for the hotel at the close of the program

• Use programs such as CI to create reports usable for management to forecast future shows

• Create a working excel spreadsheet that will calculate and provide a sum total of charges owed to the hotel for each group

• Produce a spreadsheet in charge of hotel room pick up numbers to ensure group will meet their attrition percentage which is established on their contract

• Built in meeting specifications to communicate with other departments what the expectation is for each event my senior staff members are responsible

• Maintain calendars for guests and have knowledge of all meeting taking place in the hotel knowing location, times and directions how to get there
