Resume:

October **, ****

To whom it may concern,

Please review the enclosed resume, which highlights the skills and accomplishments that will enable me to contribute to your team as a full-time firefighter with the City of Barrie.

I currently am a full- time employee at CMAC HVAC as an apprentice. I pride myself in being ambitious, motivated to learn, reliable and team oriented, and I feel that these qualities would make me a valuable asset to your team. Throughout my time of employment, I have also worked with many different individuals, which has resulted in developing great personable skills, with the central focus of teamwork.

I have become well accustomed to the various policies and procedures while working at many jobsites. This work experience has required independence and initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, maintenance of commitments, and the ability to resolve conflict accordingly.

During my time at Lakeland College, while completing the pre-service firefighting program, I participated in several different exercises that I believe will be of great value if hired onto your team. A few of the exercises included: operating a fire truck, dispatching, fire extinguishing, fire suppression, search and rescue, hazardous material drills, and vehicle extrication. I am confident that the experience and exposure of these skills will assist me and contribute to the various duties as a full-time firefighter.

I believe that the opportunity of employment with the City of Barrie would be a dream come true for me. I am especially confident that I would make a positive contribution and be a strong asset to your team.

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I look forward to speaking with you and your team concerning this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Dillan Walker
