Ownership Narrative
As the owner and first employee of Ryan Equipment, Inc., the company completed a small project in Austin, Texas that led to further opportunities. The peak of growth for Ryan Equipment, Inc. included 175 employees and $20M in annual revenue. Expansion included the purchase of portable asphalt plants to enhance the productivity of road work construction, then focus shifted to the plants. The construction side and material production became two companies. The asphalt production company was sold to Angel Brothers/Century Asphalt of Houston in 2008 with a non-compete that concluded in 2019. The construction company continued to operate after the sale of the asphalt business and targeted high-profile reconstruction projects with high liquidated damages and fast track schedules. The business was slowly liquidated as of 2015 due to divorce and project closeout was completed by 2019. Completed Reconstruction Projects by Ryan Equipment, Inc.:
