Scope and Achievements
Unit Plant Manager and Site Quality Manager in Tracy, California site, the biggest O-I site in the US. As Unit Plant Manager leading a special assignment for increasing the productivity of the A Tank and replicate the solutions across the Site. This Program is based on the Lean Six Sigma Methodology and in my previous experience. As the Plant Quality Manager and Food Safety Team Leader, implemented the Food Safety Certification system ISO 22000:2018, achieved the Food Safety Certification for the first time for this plant and with the best result for an O-I plant in North America, in the Certification audit and in the periodic Audit recently finished, establishing the benchmark for North America Region. Achieved all the Quality goals during the first year of this special improvement plan, Quality Index improvement by reducing Held ware, Customer Complaints and solving the root cause of low performance jobs with the Plant team.

Scope and Achievements
Responsible for the Tableware plant Operation, main KPI Gross Profit, leading the areas of Manufacturing, Machine Repair, Molds Maintenance, Molds and Design (NPD), Furnace, Raw Materials and Quality Assurance. I worked closely with cross functional teams from different areas (Finance, Marketing and Logistics) in order to attend the Budget and objectives.
The transformation of the Plant was achieved by implementing the Lean Six Sigma Methodology; we trained all my direct reports as LSS Green Belts, and executed several LSS projects. We increased the efficiency and Throughput by 17% within the first 2 years, and 6% more within the next 3 years. Every year we increased the productivity and reduced Manufacturing Cost per Ton, up to 13% even with inflation. Focus areas of the projects were people training, safety, speed increase, reduction of defects and energy consumption. Projects manager for the highest Impact projects for the country, increased Sugar free gums capacity by 33% with a Capex project based using DFSS and achieving a vertical start up, added new presentation for Trident, introduced the concept of flexible manufacturing in the country with quick change transformation kits and acquired a new production line capable to change formats in short time. I worked closely with the Manufacturers in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy in the design and testing of the Machines and Molds. I led projects for Halls and Trident, from line layout to product launch, worked with all the areas involved including Plant, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing, used Lean Six Sigma and Engineering tools such as FMEA and Design for Lean Six Sigma to achieve the goals expected by the company. I was the leader from Business Development department for the new shape of the Halls Mint Candy for Andean region as part of the LA strategy, worked in Germany with the supplier of the molds to finalize details considering changes for assuring the performance of the candy in the production line. All my projects delivered as requested, attending all of the goals. I participated for Colombia in Biscuits projects like Belvita in Peru in the project FMEA.

Achievements and Responsibilities
