Assistant Manager (Warehouse Operations & VAS) December’15-Present Seaways Supply Chain Private Limited, FTWZ – Chennai Seaways is the world’s leading logistics company, providing end-to-end design, implementation and operational capabilities in Warehousing, freight forwarding, contract logistics, transportation management and distribution management.

INBOUND

Handling 1.50 lakh SQFT Warehouse and 3PL warehousing.

Responsible for warehouse and operations management, from Timely receipt, Quality, Order fulfillment and delivery to customer.

Ensure respective customers SLAs are being met.

Responsible to ensure logistics process at the warehouses and requirement of the customers.

Planning, organizing and controlling overall warehouse operations, warehouse space optimization, exercising cost control efficiently.

Focus on Continuous improvement plan to bring in efficiencies. Implements quality warehousing practices in accordance to global warehousing standards and to logistics SOP manual.

Identify areas of improvements and develop plans to rectify them.

Effectively managing the slow / non-moving inventories.

Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the stock.

Co-ordinates with various departments such as Planning, Quality, Direct Orders and Manufacturing for implemented inventory control measures to reduce obsolete stock, and slow-moving items to achieve reduction in inventory management cost & availability of quality product to customers within on time.

Scheduling and Conducting Training to all Team members as per requirement.

Ensure warehouse equipment and machinery is taken care with maximum professional integrity and ensures all assets are maintained at periodical level.

Capable of handling the Multiple Supplier Inventory differently.

Identifies and develops a strong vendor/supplier base for cost effective procurement of raw materials & packaging materials.

Effective implementation of 5s Principal and following of “FIFO” & “FEFO” for Materials

Taking care of entire VAS Operations with 20 Customers Inclusive of key customer EPSON and Teleflex.

Getting monthly forecast from customer for Labeling and Storage volume for better planning.

Receive Pre alert from customer in well advance to plan sufficient manpower and space.

Planning the Labeling Qty and manpower on daily basis to achieve the target as per priority.

Maintains effective relationship with customers, Develops and deliver high quality services.

Optimum utilization of manpower and cost saving through proper planning.

Coordinating with customs clearance to ensure the compliance. Inventory Management

Daily Audit for disturbed location were done to ensure 100% inventory accuracy

Cycle count were done as per the plan

Investigating the issues from the customer supplier stock discrepancies, damages etc.
