• Analyze, design, draft, and detail structural engineering projects. Coordinate changes with the Architect by communicating data and calculation driven conclusions in a business-oriented nontechnical manner via AutoCAD, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI visualizations.
• Use Python to streamline multiple procedures including sorting site visit pictures by iterating through a directory to locate images, determining latitude and longitude with PIL ExifTags, and plotting using gmplot. Apr. 2017 to TRANSPORTATION DATA ANALYST Bellevue, WA June 2019 Transportation Engineering Northwest
• Analyzed local and regional transportation trends using industry, government, and locally collected data by querying regional traffic count databases using SQL.
• Calculated trip distribution by developing trip attraction and destination models using Microsoft Excel VBA, and Pivot Tables.
• Produced transportation impact analyses using visualizations to graphically present critical transportation data insights to key industry and municipal figures. Sept. 2016 to TRANSPORTATION DATA ANALYST INTERN Seattle, WA Apr. 2017 Washington State Department of Transportation
• Synthesized daily tolling facility operational information into manageable database files, analyzed it with Python and Excel VBA macros, and converted it into easy to understand reports to inform the decision- making process regarding tolling.
• Created the transaction database report to track unpaid invoices in the system after a critical failure in the programming released thousands of unnecessary transactions. PROJECTS
Mar. 2020 to AIRLINE NETWORK PATH SEARCH ALGORITHM Seattle, WA Sept. 2020 • Designed a GUI using the Pyqt5 Python toolkit that enables users to create a SQL database representing an airport and flight connectivity graph theory problem using queries implemented with Python to isolate data components from an Excel file.
• Used Python to access and compute the data organized using a recursive backtracking path searching algorithm to enumerate all possible paths for a user’s given origin and destination to find the optimal path. Mar. 2020 to DATA ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM Seattle, WA Sept. 2020 • Designed a GUI using the Pyqt5 Python toolkit that enables users to encrypt and decrypt a txt file using either an existing hexadecimal key from a local file or a randomly generated hexadecimal key.
• Encrypted a given data type by converting to its string representation, breaking the string to 4-byte packages, encrypting the packages using the binary XOR key and the binary XOR secondary key, converting the results to hex-strings and joining as an encoded string. Mar. 2020 to DEMOCRATIC PARTY VOTE SHIFT ANALYSIS Seattle, WA Sept. 2020 • Analyzed Democratic Party voting patterns and differences between the 2012 and 2016 elections.
• Created a database of 23 variables using collected and derived data with SQL using Python. Produced twelve linear regression and logistic regression models and analyzed the estimated regression coefficients.
• Visually identified conclusions using Tableau and Power BI.
