Designed and fabricated a novel oil-extraction machine using CATIA for extracting non-edible oil from Pongamia pinnata seeds

Crushed & squeezed the seeds using a combination of roller and power screw respectively, to reduce load only on the power screw

Reduced diameter of the oil outlet to prevent mixing of oil & cake and provide better squeezing capacity Obtained 5% increased oil output by implementing the designed model fabricated at lower budget than initially estimated Seminars and Presentations

Presented a paper on “Fabrication of Oil Extractor from Pongamia Pinnata seeds for Bio- Diesel” at a seminar conducted by KSCST, Shri Venkateshwara Engineering College.
