Client Description
HAL2000 is HealthPro insurance application developed by CNA in 1999. This is a very high premium generating application. It contains the Medical Malpractice lines for HealthPro including Doctors, Hospitals, Miscellaneous Healthcare, Miscellaneous Facilities, and Advanced Medical Technologies.
HAL2000 supports New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, Cancel, Decline transactions. From HAL the policies are booked for Professional Liabilities (PL) and Global Liabilities (GL). It is used by Underwriters and WWO.
Role and Responsibilities:
Test Case Preparation
Creation of test scripts
Executing Manual Test cases (using HP-ALM Quality Center), classifying and logging defects, retesting the fixed defects in order to identify defects in the application. Had set up test data for execution.
Preparing and submitting daily status report to the Onsite Coordinator.
Logging defects and tracking them to closure.
Involved in preparing Regression Suite by identifying the high level Test cases that were executed at the end of every execution cycle.
Participating in onsite-offshore calls as required.

Extracting the data from various source systems, and applying the business rules on it and delivering the data to guide wire billing center application on time without any data loss.
Creation of test scripts based on the requirements and check the data through database from different layers.
Delivering the migrated data on time and providing key insights to the high level team to take the better decisions based on Guide wire application.

Create, Assign and review the test scripts designed using SQL scripts
Required execution timeslots were reserved in HP ALM well in advance as per plan
Review the defects logged in HP ALM and ensure they were assigned to concerned teams for fix.
Created and maintained tracking log about releases, issues, downtime of application on various environments.
Involved in diagnosing the root cause of the problems by interacting with IT support, Database teams.
Attended scrum meetings in order to provide status updates on the application to the Project Management team
Attend status calls every week and update status to offshore and onshore people.
