We are providing support for leading retailer in electronics - Best Buy (USA and Canada). We are supporting around 4500 servers (Virtual and HP physical) including Linux, AIX and Solaris. Administration part in Server Build, Monthly Patching, BAU activities and Decommission of the Servers. Roles and Responsibilities:

System administration, maintenance and monitoring various day to day operations.

Monitor all UNIX servers for performance issues and stability concerns

Day to day activities includes working on incident tickets generated by monitoring tools and users and working on change implementation.

Understanding and working on ITIL standards.

Planning and Implementing change for Prod/Dev/Test environment and Apply the patches in Linux Operating System

Experience in installing & configuring software packages on Red Hat Linux with RPM and YUM.

Taking proactive actions to server monitoring alerts related to high CPU, Memory and disks

Applying patches - monthly basis on all application/database servers with the help of Ansible.
